There are other humans in this world with your way of life, similar ocean travel, lifestyle and 'making a difference' dreams, often hidden in the wild somewhere. But here we unite.

We live nomadically or aspire to do so. And we support each other at each step of our journey. Some of us have been ocean nomads for decades (age is just a number;)), by sail, but also many by van, or even bicycle or foot, while others are just dipping their toes. It doesn’t matter which part of the journey you are at. We were all once newbies. What unites us is our passion for the sea, our health and the health of the ocean, our need for more community, and our desire to do good for people and planet and to make a positive impact in our nature-centred lifestyles.

Ocean Nomads is a hub for the free spirits living or after an eco-minded active, healthy outdoor lifestyle in, on and near the sea.

I have been a member of Ocean Nomads for over 5 years. The community have been incredible over that time, very supportive and helpful. I have gone from working on an environmental awareness yacht skipper, to sailing school instructor, running trips with ocean nomads members and now having my own yacht that is a part of the fleet. In 2023 I got to meet Suzanne and some of the crew that crossed the Atlantic aboard Twister. It was so nice to see everyone in person!
